Rogue Wave introduces
Cory Whipple—the man who loved two women. Now don't panic: this is a
Hadley Hoover book, after all! First came Bibs Johnson, the girl next
door. Their life together was adventurous from the get-go. Their
story continues in Shaky Ground—the book whose ending was
predetermined by the book that follows it: Prevailing Winds.
How can this be? Well, I wrote
the books out of order, dug myself a hole too deep to ignore and that's why
Shaky Ground's heroine . . . well, just read the book!
Actually, read all three—and if you read them in chronologic order, you'll
get the whole story—including that "second woman," namely Laurel
McPherson—with all the surprises intact.
Miles Apart is a California story—though never named, as such, it is
set in Fresno. But the two main characters—Molly & BJ—fit so nicely into the
North Dakota stories (The Prairie Rose
Trilogy) that I couldn't confine them to either California or Rochester
MN where their trip landed them. So I guess you could say Molly & BJ's trip
not only takes them across many state lines, but also between books! If you
read it in conjunction with the ND books, read it first.
